Advice
During pregnancy, skin changes: spots, melasma, dryness. Most simple skincare remains usable; a few actives should be set aside until breastfeeding ends, retinoids first. A short routine is enough, and your doctor or pharmacist remains the reference when in doubt.
Use a gentle, hydrating cleanser morning and evening. Skin can become oilier or more reactive during pregnancy: there is no need to strip it.

Azelaic acid and niacinamide are the actives generally chosen during pregnancy for spots and marks. Avoid retinoids (retinol, retinal, adapalene) and hydroquinone. Show your routine to your pharmacist before starting any new active.

SPF 50+ every morning, reapplied outdoors. A tinted version also protects from visible light, which encourages melasma. Mineral sunscreens are often chosen during this period.
